Ready to deliver my short film tomorrow at 5Pm sharp. Will most likely submit the film to ACMI in 2009 so keep your eyes peeled for it.

DVD and Movie Poster design

Stiched up

Have just finished putting the first 47 seconds of the film together, the film is ready for music and sound effects to get worked on. Feels so nice to see it all in one clip finally, still needs some minor touch ups but i will worry about all that later on.

I worked on the train station today, and have come up with this. Keep your eyes on the front end of the train and attention to the shadows and a bit of lighting. :D:D:D

Ending

Thought I'd post a pic of the last shot which will have Nigel in the middle. This is the first sneak peek of the updated forest, I'm trying to save it for when the film is done or released lol:P

Hmmmm...

As I repeatedly go over my animatic check what needs to be worked on and reminded what needs touching up, I have noticed there is not much left for me to do without the verbal one-on-one class advice from the team. So I have decided tommorow I will finish off the tiny scenes that need to get done and review what I need completed for the rest of the film.

Streaker!!!

On saturday I changed up the run cycle and made Nigel run in his underpants and got it ready for this short camera pan in Nigel's room which i just finished animating.

Closing Scene Part One

Have just finished animating the first part of the closing scene, will have to finish off the rest at a later date, I'm keeping the animation behind closed curtains for obvious reasons so I have added some movie stills if you would like to call them that, haha.

Look familiar? Part two

Once again i posted a sketch of this when i first started the blog, I did this in Flash before the holidays so say about a week ago.

This is the opening scene which will be trucking in on Nigel as he is sitting at the desk, I just added a small shadow on the floor of Nigel's head, looks abit weird but i think it can work.

Sand here, there, everywhere

Just some more scenes I had already done that needed posting, I know Charlie has a lot of colors on him but that's not exactly the final look for him, i keep changing my mind. the cactus look more hairy than spikey lol, so i might go back maybe today and touch it up.

More perspective

Here is another perspective background i did a few days ago which i nearly forgot to post, going to have the cow in the foreground blink as Nigel and a plane travel past in the distance. Have thought about putting a grass texture to give it more eye candy, but don't think it will look that good, that's why I'll leave it out once i have done the bulk of the film.

Stressing out

Found out yesterday i have to re-do all my 3d class tasks so i might have to waste a day getting them out the way, :( also have received one of Chris' scenes which i have to collaborate with. So i may do an all nighter tonight considering i don't have work or school tomorow or friday.

Another down

Ah yes, how can i forget that pain in my hand from using the WACOM all day. Worked on this since 10 in the morning after a 2 hour failed attempt of my first thought for my scene. still need abit more touching up, but gonna wait for some comments from classmates/others, so until then gonna work on another scene.

Toy Shelf

I am currently working on some backgrounds and have come up with this for Nigel's toy shelf. Haven't completed the toy boxes yet so they are just plain white for now ( grey with the shadows :P), might work on them after this post but i will see how i go.

Run Nigel Ruun!!

After testing and tweaking the run cycle i have finally come up with this, have left out the patching work till last which i will finish later on.

Time to get back to some backgrounds and asset building!

Met up with Josh yesterday to discuss our sound effects and music for the short film.

Today i plan to work on the run cycle and get him ready for some scenes.

Animatic Done!

After going through the animatic with Mat and some extra polishing I have finished it off ready for Monday. Also started on some asset building which i should continue on for the week, and finally start doing some turnarounds in Flash now with the animatic out the way.

Rough Animatic

Just finished putting all the key frames into Flash,(boy its been a while since i used flash, nearly forgot some keyboard shortcuts.) at the moment the total length of the film is about 80 secs, so I'm kinda heading towards a 1 to 2 min film give or take. Will have to polish it off tomorrow and work on the timing a bit more to get clear idea of how long this film has to be.

Sorry people, forgot to get the pics off the Mac again. got carried away with my action figure silhouettes after our team meeting with Bret.

Will be updating the blog tomorow with some new pics. forgot to put them on my HD.
I have finished off storyboards and am starting the animatic, hope to finish them in a week or 2.
right now i am working on the action figures and finishing off turnarounds.
